Paper Abstract:
|
Older users which do not have much experience operating state of the art technology often show problems when interacting with unfamiliar input devices (e.g. touchscreens), which may be attributed to a wrong or missing mental model of the device. This paper presents work in progress in enhancing existing software for automatic usability evaluation to predict such problems. We collect data with real users, define a scheme to annotate the problems, and implement respective error generation in the evaluation tool. The results are promising with respect to error and performance statistics. |
