Paper Abstract:
|
In this paper, we review the state-of-the-art regarding research on information overload in organizations, a major problem
of the e-society. We review scientific studies from the last thirty years in order to compile the most relevant causes of
information overload and possible countermeasures. We summarize our findings from business related research in a
conceptual framework that can be used to measure information overload empirically in order to assess the extent of
overload or the effectiveness of countermeasures. |
