Paper Abstract:
|
Self-organizing learning materials are subset of Adaptive learning material, that all are basically designed to support
learners optimal development. This study focuses on design and evaluation of an adaptive and self-organizing learning
system in order to validate the methods behind the adaptation. Because the idea of adaptive educational systems is to
produce individual learning experiences, the focus is on a general level of adaptation and learning processes. Design,
implementation and evaluation (n=447) were done between years 2005-2007. The generalized result of the study is that
complex conceptual network as a background of adaptation can produce individually and meaningfully organized content
in order to find balance between optimal learning outcome and minimum time used for learning. |
