Paper Abstract:
|
With increasing adoption of mobile devices in healthcare applications, organizations need to secure the confidential data from unauthorized users and mobile device theft. We identify the vulnerable locations in mobile communication networks that can possibly be exploited to access confidential data, and propose an efficient security architecture that provides end to end data protection in healthcare environments without compromising devices performance. To demonstrate the feasibility of our proposed data sharing architecture, a prototype customized for Point-of-Care-Testing (POCT) scenarios was built. Simulations were performed to analyze and validate our solution against pre-defined requirements criteria. The protocol has demonstrated superior performance than existing solutions. |
