Paper Abstract:
|
The Robo-eLC system is a robot designed to operate under various monetary environments. These environments can be commercial, business, information, or even charity oriented. The system is a result of an interdisciplinary project based on elements of computer science, cognitive science, education, sociology and robotics. From a practical point of view, Robo-eLC is a combined e-Learning and e-Commerce application of robotics. It is a learning appliance capable of providing substantial information and advice related to money transfer operations. In other words, Robo-eLC is an tool to help people quickly make informed decisions about how to manage their financial resources. For example, an automatic bankcard reader might give a bank client the ability to carry out money transfers in a quick and efficient way without using security codes or digitally inputting a monetary amount. According to the feedback that users gave, Robo-eLC is a promising starting point for a new thread of concretising learning technologies. The research issues raised include technical as well as usability questions. |
