Paper Abstract:      In structured rational decision making specialists apply their domain knowledge to make informed decisions between alternatives based on their value estimates. However, in conditions with high degree of uncertainty, time pressures, or great information load, for instance, rational decision making strategies may be impaired or even impossible. This is the case in dynamic, ambiguous environments such as stock market trading. Having professional knowledge, agents can therefore support users’ decision making through forecasting information. Even so, exactly how the agent will perform and influence people’s trading behavior is difficult to predict, and bears risks. In this paper, benefits and challenges of agent-supported decision making are explicated using two experiments carried out in a virtual stock market setting
