Paper Abstract:      This paper proposes a novel web-based education system for experiments involving electronic circuit construction. The proposed system uses automated recognition of schematic symbols handwritten on a touchscreen of a mobile tablet-type device. This novel technique is applied to the proposed education system for learning the design and construction of electronic circuits and understanding the working of circuits. The effectiveness of the proposed system was verified by 50 undergraduate students at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. The comparison tests between two groups that comprised students that used or did not use the proposed system demonstrated the effectiveness and usefulness of the system for learning experiments involving the construction and measurement of electronic circuits.
