Paper Abstract:
|
Structural colors are colors that change according to the directions or visual angles of objects, such as the changing colors of compact discs or jewel beetles. This paper proposes a method of obtaining structural colors by calculating the viewerÂ’s position relative to mobile devices such as the iPhone/iPad using a gyroscope and face tracking. The purpose of this method is to recognize the displays of mobile devices as surfaces of other materials (e.g., bumpy surfaces or structural colors). We implemented and launched this method as an iPhone/iPad application. |
