Paper Abstract:
|
Parameterized representation of a subsystem design helps provide more flexibility during system design. In this paper, we propose an intermediate representation at a parametric level that provides high-level algorithmic flexibility as well as seamless transition to the representation of a specialized design in VHDL. We discuss a two-phase approach the first phase relates to a parameterized subsystem design, and the second phase relates to the system design using parameterized subsystems. We briefly discuss our efforts in the development of a design tool to automate the activities discussed in this paper. |
