Paper Abstract:
|
Software components are a means of achieving software reuse, aiming at improvements in the quality and productivity of the development team. One of the main concerns of component development is related to information security. One way to make a component more secure is to improve the security of its internal characteristics. Software quality models describe the quality characteristics for software-based systems; however, most of these models do not focus on security-specific issues. The main goal of this paper is to present a component quality model, focusing on their internal security aspects. This research was developed in four phases: analyzing the component-quality model scenario, analyzing the security characteristics of the components, defining a quality model, and assessing the model. The proposed model was assessed by a specialist and the suggested improvements were incorporated to the final version of the model. |
