Paper Abstract:
|
Several project management standards are available so that it is confusing for enterprises to choose the appropriate one that meet their needs. Project managers have then to apprehend the multiple concepts of these standards in order to position and integrate them. In this paper, we focus on three most popular standards: ISO10006, CMMI and PMBOK. We introduce them through formal UML diagrams describing their concepts and providing a common graphical representation. Then, we proceed to a twofold comparison: 1) a quantitative comparison that reveals their common process view and indicates their fields of use and 2) a qualitative comparison that shows the equivalence between their concepts and highlights their overlapping areas in order to estimate and save effort during the implementation. |
