Paper Abstract:
|
This paper looks at ways in which multimedia content can be created for mobile learning scenarios. It outlines two case studies of projects that have created prototypes of multimedia content for Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). The learning contexts and goals of each project are different, and these are discussed, along with the technical and design implications that arose from designing for the PDA, and potential areas for future development. The development of these prototypes has resulted in a better understanding of what kinds of multimedia learning content and experiences can be created for the PDA, and some of the lessons learned are discussed. The work has also highlighted a number of opportunities for how this initial work can be developed further in the future. |
