Paper Abstract:
|
This paper describes work in progress on an e-learning platform that exploits the power of broadband connectivity. Built on a framework of components titled SPLINE, it addresses transactional aspects of education that are largely missing in today's e-learning platforms. Video-based learning is facilitated along the guidelines of instructional design. The components enable users to stitch together content of various formats and create an instructional module; alternatively, they can modify an existing module to reflect their perspective. The paper describes some innovative mechanisms that take technology mediated learning to a higher level than what is in vogue today. |
