Paper Abstract:      This paper describes a novel, network-fuzzy based, holistic framework for assessing program learning outcomes and program educational objectives. It integrates several students’ evaluations in different courses to map through a network model to specific information systems Program Students Learning Outcomes (SLO). The network model uses a weighting system to account for the relative contribution of every assessment measure and particular course to the program-learning outcome considered. This approach has the value of embedded triangulation or crosschecking of the SLO with built-in thresholds to quantify the final results to program evaluators and administrators. The model integrates a fuzzy-logic unit for estimating program educational objectives (PEO) out from student learning outcomes. The validity and the applicability of the framework are illustrated in the case of three different courses. The results collected demonstrate the usefulness and potential of such a framework.
