Paper Abstract:
|
Virtual scenarios inhabited by virtual humans have been used in a wide range of application areas like entertainment, industrial and military training, education, psychotherapy and medicine. However, the production of these scenarios is a task that requires considerable effort and time consumption. The aim of our work is to define a pipeline that eases the creation of such synthetic scenarios. This pipeline integrates our application which: i) reads a set of XML configuration and parameterization files, through a component we called Scene Builder, customizing the simulation; ii) has a physics engine integrated with the rendering engine that generates the synthetic environment; iii) implements a path planning and finding mechanism that allows characters to move in the synthetic environment. Besides, we conceived a semi-automatic approach for the application of identical facial and body animations to distinct models of virtual humans. |
