Paper Abstract:
|
Presently, the acceptance level of data services accessed from mobile phones appears much lower than what was estimated during the introduction of these services several years ago. This delay in developing a new market segment can be explained by different issues preventing the customer from broadly using these services. Main concerns are extremely high costs for data transfers through wireless telephony networks, and the low ergonomy of mobile device software in terms of user handling. Here an approach based on a customer-to-customer (C2C) model is discussed, which has the capability of overcoming these main concerns, and which by that is presumed to make wireless data services more attractive for the average customer. |
