Paper Abstract:
|
Cellular automata provide an abstract model of parallel computation that can be effectively used for modelling and
simulation of complex phenomena and systems. We discuss here the main features of programming of cellular automata
algorithms and we show an implementation of cellular automata skeleton for the exploitation on the inherent parallelism
of problems of this kind. The paper also presents an accurate timing model designed for prediction of cellular automata
algorithms for a cluster of processors. A practical example shows the accuracy of the proposed skeleton. |
