Paper Abstract:
|
Versatility and mainly processing power of nowadays smartphones and tablets boosted complex algorithms computation on these devices. Each cell phone or tablet can be part of a big computer network capable of processing a huge amount of data with low power consumption comparing to personal computers. A great motivator also is that these devices have the Android operating system which is based on the Linux kernel, what facilitates developed projects to migrate easily to this new platform. The gains of this infrastructure for other projects and the real improvement this platform can offer will be discussed in this article. |
