Paper Abstract:
|
The increased number of information and communication technologies (ICTs) streamlining the core business processes of organizations leads to benefits as well as risks, which need to be managed in face of disruptions. To do so, organizations need to achieve digital resilience (DR). Organizational culture (OC) can foster resilience capabilities through enabling knowledge flow within organizations, however, its connection to DR is yet to be explicated. OC aspects stand on three levels, with values being the most accessible one. The OC values connected to DR capabilities appear to be of both flexible and control basis. This short paper applies the lens of competing values framework (CVF) to indicate which types of OCs are suited to foster DR capabilities. The preliminary findings of a scale-up case study indicate a seamless shift between contrasting values enables organizations to portray higher levels of DR capabilities during crisis situations. |
