Paper Abstract:
|
Computer games can be analyzed in two aspects: playability and usability. The popularity of the relation between human computer interactions/usability and computer games is increasing with the use of new technology. Number of studies is done to measure and interpret usability-gameplay relationship. In this research, usability of a game is analyzed via a sample project, which will be launched for a social platform. Reactions and eye movements of each player against miscellaneous features of the game were recorded in the eye tracking laboratory. Their voices, questions and comments during the game sessions were also recorded. After these sessions they were asked to fill the questionnaires. This process of data collection, analysis and the discussions are the main topics of this study. Moreover, the process before, during and after game testing studies are also be held. The methodology of the study is detailed. Why the usability of games is chosen as a subject, the goal of this study and how literature supports this topic is given in this paper. |
