Paper Abstract:
|
The rapid development of information technologies and the increase in client demands in the sphere of software product production create motivation for the development and improvement of static code analysis tools. The aim of this paper is to investigate the impact of seniority on the opinion of tools for static code analysis, as well as the impact of tools on the deployment pipeline. This paper presents an empirical study based on the survey, where the questions are separated into three sections that refer to demographic data, static code analysis tools, and tool evaluation. The target group is technical persons in the IT industry in Novi Sad and Belgrade. Data processing was performed using the JASP tool and Pearson's tests were performed to obtain the results. It was observed that a higher level of seniority determines a lower evaluation
of the tool. In addition, all the participants for whom static code analysis is a mandatory part of pipeline deployment will use the tool more often. Therefore, static code analysis tools are a powerful tool that facilitates work in the IT industry, but there are many parts that are suitable for improvement. The full survey is available on request. |
