Paper Abstract:      This paper presents an extensive mathematical model analyzing the architecture of the True Random Number Generator (TRNG) designed at Intel Corporation. Designed stochastic model captures linear and non-linear aspects of analog circuits. This study extensively uses Monte Carlo simulations to provide additional details about properties of TRNG. The approach chosen for the modeling provides opportunities for development of on-line tests for detection of abrupt changes in subcomponents of the generator. Presented mathematical model forms the basis for correlating statistical to electrical properties of the generator and thereby contributes to improvement of the quality of the hardware generator.
