The benefits to the old and very old of mental stimulation and connections with family are well documented. eMail and the Web can make very large contributions to both. This paper highlights the need for controlling authorities to recognise the advantages of Internet connections in fully supported accommodation facilities, make budgetary provision for the cost and strongly encourage their introduction. |
