Paper Abstract:
|
The research described in this paper aims to release theoretical basis for a methodology of conception and evaluation of narrative aspects in games. We start with a review of the state of art, assuming that the academy is only in first steps on the studies regarding storytelling. Then, we adopt structural narratology as an epistemological platform and purpose a methodological approach in the context of games, creating the narrative maps, an interface of visualisation of the game narrative structure. Finally, we present possibilities for deeper studies and applications for those tools within the games industry. |
