This paper describes a business model innovation approach to multi-layer aggregation in smart power grids. Multi-layer
aggregation makes it possible to sell and buy electrical power in the local market. To make this feasible, it is necessary to
innovate an efficient business model and technology to handle the transactions between sellers and buyers. The proposed
business model will use blockchain and smart contracts to handle transactions between the actors. |
