Paper Abstract:
|
The mobile Internet allows users to connect to servers within the stationary Internet and to access Internet based
applications using a mobile hand-held or portable device. The growing need to support user mobility is considered as one
of the drivers of the process of convergence of mobile networks and the stationary Internet, with convergence becoming a
feature of next generation network architectures. This paper reviews relevant prior work, introduces a research model for
the investigation of mobile Internet deployment models in New Zealand and presents some preliminary findings. |
