Paper Abstract:
|
This paper describes UX testing of two mobile applications Senosec (haymaking), which were created to protect animals during haymaking. The paper focuses on two areas - user interface testing and testing of application security. The applications for haymaking were created independently as two applications, each using a shared central repository (database). The first application is intended for volunteers, the second one is being used by farmers and foresters. Both applications were tested. In conclusion, the article proposes measures to improve the current state of the applications (May 2016). In the area of UX, both application were tested in two modes - with experienced users and with new users with no previous experience with tablet applications. In safety assessment, the testing was focused mainly on the vulnerability of the API on the server side (protection against known types of attacks) and data transfer security (encryption of the communication channel). Recommendations for further application development considering usability and security on the basis of the analysis are formulated in the conclusion of this paper. |
