Paper Abstract:
|
Intense research has been done in the domain of Decision Mining: how individuals and organizations make decisions that later affect their lives and the stakeholders' ones. Despite this constant preoccupation for Decision Mining, few researches deal with strategic decisions which imply a long-term perspective. The Mergers and Acquisitions decisions, when made, influence the Business Ecosystem of an Organization, therefore careful consideration should be made accordingly. On the other part, large amounts of data available on the Invisible (or Hidden) Web is currently kept away from mining purposes. The paper analyzes the issue of strategic decisions, focusing on extracting information from the Competition Council, cross-verifying the data with external sources and developing algorithms for predicting future market consolidations from the existing data. |
