Paper Abstract:
|
Scalability covers the ability of an application to cope up with heavier processing load as desired. Other than that, it also
covers how small one can start a system. Testing scalability is a very challenging task among all the other quality
attributes i.e. performance, reliability, usability, accessibility and security. However empirically there is not much
research work done on this specific domain. The focus of this study is to identify the all the metrics and tools that are in
practice for measuring the scalability of a specific system. Moreover, finding out the challenges that are being faced
while performing these measurement practices.
To collect information regarding the identification of metrics and tools for testing scalability, a systematic mapping study
was conducted. Through this method we tried to get a generalized data from many resources over the internet. |
