Paper Abstract:      Population growth worldwide is considered a health issue in this moment and it will have greater impact in the following years due to the limited number of specialists in the medical field. Health organizations present a special concern in older adults over 65 years because most of them live alone and their growth rate is the highest one in the world. In this circumstance, AAL solutions will become an important contribution to the society since those solutions will provide support to older adults. In this sense, the use of IoT is allowing to provide better alternatives and new features to AAL solutions. However, IoT still presents unsolved security risks that must be managed, especially for AAL solutions, since they manage sensible information related to the privacy and health of users. In this research project, our interest is to propose a methodology for designing AAL-IoT solutions according to physical, logical, procedural and legal aspects of security that could guarantee the privacy and life improvement of the older adults.
