Paper Abstract:      Prior research verifies the existence of reward error, which is defined as inaccurate data introduced to survey responses when subjects answer survey questions without first reading the question. This paper uses previous theory and research to support the existence of reward error and develops a comprehensive model predicting reward error. This study examines the use of microsurveys to overcome reward error and argues against the use of rewards in order to obtain additional data.
