Paper Abstract:      Tribal CTAD has been at the forefront of developing materials and strategies for m-learning over the past five years. The relationship between technology and pedagogy has resulted in new thoughts about what is possible and desirable in learning with handheld devices. From the initial development of simple games to our current rich-learning and collaboration tools, we have attempted to incorporate and challenge received ideas about appropriate pedagogy in this still new area. This paper traces the evolution of thinking within Tribal CTAD’s m-learning team and considers future applications and what impact they might have on how people teach and learn.
