Paper Abstract:
|
This paper proposes the conceptual framework for the system design and development of learning objects and concept
map assisted outcomes based learning. The design focused on three main aspects, namely, the learning objects together
with their design, search engine and repository, a generative learning based concept map and collaboration. Such a design
and development based on a sound theoretical framework is intended to create a learning environment that enables the
active process of knowledge construction as well as provide generative learning activity to encourage students to
participate actively in generating relationships from the information or learning content received and/or designed by
themselves. It also allows students to generate organisational relationships between different components of the
knowledge through learning aids, such as the learning organiser or the concept map. The system also provides an
environment that requires students to participate collaboratively in the learning process as well as provides a mechanism
to measure the outcomes of the learning achievements of students. |
