Paper Abstract:
|
In this study, I explore how activity objects orchestrate knowledge for crowdsourced digital innovation. Adopting a mixed-methods research approach, my quantitative results from 355 questionnaires corroborate the three hypotheses, and my qualitative evidence collected from 48 interviews enriches my explanations. As a result, I found that by acting as a trigger for expansive learning, and a director and motivator of crowdsourcing communities, activity objects serve to facilitate the sharing, acquisition, and integration of knowledge, coordinating the knowledge heterogeneity and fragmentation for crowdsourced digital innovation. |
