Paper Abstract:      The goal of this research is to employ the tipping point leadership style to impact culture in higher education while meeting the expectations of faculty and administrators. Administrators seem to value increases in enrollment, higher retention rates, and more online courses. Faculty members seem to value academic freedom and tenure. If successful in a five year period, we will shift the culture from a focus on numbers and academic freedom to student engagement and innovation in teaching. This article reports on the results of year one thru three. The impact of the first year was limited by the lack of personnel to implement the plan. Hence, the second year focused on selecting and hiring key personnel. The third year is well under way and the results are promising in terms of meeting expectations. The cultural shift is still being explored.
