Paper Abstract:
|
Maintenance is a key activity in the manufacturing industry. In this context, decision-making on plant maintenance is critical because of its economic consequences. Although there is plenty of research on this area, there are only a few authors that establish direct links between decision-making on maintenance and money. This paper presents an equipment model that calculates the net profit, risk and quality values related to a preventive maintenance strategy. Thus, an optimization problem is formulated and possible solution ways are discussed. |
