Paper Abstract:
|
We are engaged in a multiyear project to create a comprehensive suite of interactive Java applets for use in computer
science courses. A preliminary study has demonstrated that the use of these applets can significantly improve the
performance of students on tasks related to the course learning objectives. This paper describes three new, more
sophisticated applets that introduce students to CPU-scheduling algorithms, Internet packet routing, and black-box
software testing. We are making these applets freely available to the computer science educational community. |
