Paper Abstract:

This paper illustrates participatory design(PD) approach with its adjustment in the Web 2.0 environment and field study in terms of HCI and Design education. The Web 2.0 environment allows users to become more active participants with immediate and interactive communication. This paper investigates research cases created by PD approach in the Web 2.0 environment with a field study to implement participatory design approach using representative Web 2.0 tool, Twitter. PD approach is a strong user-centered approach. Participatory communication tool such as Twitter is not only for participatory communication but also for creating a new application. With a concern of the Web 2.0 environment, we investigated possibilities of PD approach with participatory communication tool. |
