Paper Abstract:      In this paper, we describe the EAP-TLS smart card, an authentication method that could be used for access control in several networking environments; especially WLAN. The authentication is established by TLS using PKI basedcertificate or Pre Shared Key. Our tamper resistant device holds EAP and TLS protocols, and manages certificate’s entities in a secure and trusted area. Further, we analyze security issues related to WLANs and smart cards, we demonstrate our concept through experimental results, and analyze performances.
