Paper Abstract:
|
This paper details an innovative concept, named TLS-Tandem that aims at increasing trust for application whose security
relies on the well known SSL/TLS protocol. The main idea is to split a TLS session in two parts, first is fully managed by
a highly trusted computing platform, second occurs on typical untrustworthy host, equipped with classical operating
systems like Linux or Windows. We present an experimental platform based on smart cards, and analyze observed
performances. Furthermore we introduce high level Java APIs, which could speed up the adoption of this new and open
technology, for network applications that require secure data exchange and downloading. |
