Paper Abstract:      The authors are developing an extension to an open source DICOM viewer to allow for the display and analysis of visual electrophysiology data. This extension uses a newly introduced information object definition for electroretinography developed in a previous project, to facilitate the interchange of visual electrophysiology data in a standardized and vendor-independent way. Together with the previously developed information object definition for electroretinograms, the current project will allow the integration of visual electrophysiology data into a distributed clinical e-Health network by leveraging the DICOM standard.
