Paper Abstract:
|
This reflection paper proposes to discuss the difficulties encountered by SMEs in implementing a complete integrated information system to support their operations. Based on our observations in three Canadian SMEs in the aerospace industry, we first describe several process and system integration issues with ERP, PLM and MES information systems. Recognizing these difficulties, we then review current system implementation methodologies in order to highlight their limitations and to draw potential research avenues. |
