Paper Abstract:      As such important as the Industrial Revolution was to the 15th Century, the Revolution of Knowledge is transforming commercial and business relationships nowadays. The engine of this process are the technological innovations, bringing intellectual property into the status of a global priority, faced its relevancy with that sector-key. In acomplish to this, Brazil is implanting the Núcleo Catarinense de Tecnologia da Informação (Santa Catarina Information Technology Nucleus- NECATI), an institute that proposes to approach academic community with e-business and intellectual property. This process is rendered through technical, juridical and administrative assistance related to intellectual property and information technologies, making the preliminary accompaniment to business, softwares registration, contracts, in order to foment business and the development of new technologies.
