Paper Abstract:
|
Two new examinations in ICT have been introduced in the UK over the past few months. One is an electronic on-screen test for pupils aged 14. The other is a new examination for 16 year olds called GCSE Applied. Both tests aim to move teachers and pupils away from a skills based approach and to help them to focus on the application of ICT. This paper looks at some of the current tests available in UK schools and at how the new tests represent a potentially major advance. |
