Paper Abstract:      Information Security has been established as a growing discipline around the globe. There is however, a shortage of Information Security specialists in industry and accordingly there is a real need for Information Security education. This paper reports on the findings of prominent Information Security research activities – in the academic and industrial sectors – that aim to identify a Common Body of Knowledge for Information Security. The purpose of this paper is to present a framework that could be used when developing an Information Security curriculum that could be integrated into both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the discipline of Computing and other relevant disciplines at tertiary institutions. Such a curriculum should ensure that educated Information Security professionals, with the required knowledge and skills to address and solve Information Security problems, are delivered.
