Paper Abstract:      This paper present the indexation method that we are actually developing for information retrieval in web pages based on their visual rendering. This method can be summarized as follows. Firstly, the visual rendering of a page produced by a web browser is segmented into rectangular blocks considered as uniform in relation to some visual criteria. Secondly each block is indexed according to the vector space model. Finally, the indexation of each block is enhanced by its visual significance and by the indexation of the blocks which are associated to it by inclusion, neighborhood, or reference relations.
