Paper Abstract:
|
Contemporary managers are constantly required to make critical technical and business decisions in order to improve
their organisational processes. Decision-making is thus a central managerial activity. As it is remains an immensely
challenging roles of managers in any organisation. This paper discusses a process modelling technique of the D2P for
supporting decision-making in tendering processes. This modelling approach of the D2P is developed based on process
modelling techniques. The capture of process models is based on understanding the fundamental functions and the system
environment of decision-making processes. Decision-making processes then, are analysed and the ranking of alternatives
determined. In addition D2P principles can be applied to support the process of decision-making for example in selecting
the best contractors in the construction industry. We contend that D2P technologies notably improve business processes
within the organisations generally and tendering processes in construction industry specifically. |
