Paper Abstract:
|
Corporate governance is a key element for success in companies and organizations. IT governance, as a discipline that
belongs to corporate governance, is an associate element for success. Although there is a lot of literature regarding IT
Governance, including frameworks and standards (for instance the recent ISO/IEC 38500:2008), there has been little
research carried out specifically in small and medium organizations (SMOs). This article describes the research done so
far in this area, in terms of analyzing the state of the art of IT Governance in Spanish SMOs, and identifying best
practices to be implemented in this type of organizations. |
