Paper Abstract:
|
This paper brings further discussion to the relationship between information and communication technologies (ICTs) and development, concentrating on education in developing countries. While other aspects of development are just as important, the lack of progress when it comes to education turns this issue into a big threat to improve other aspects of development in economic and social areas. Rethinking technology transfer approaches between developed and developing countries using the theory of Modernization as a framework, authors posit that against all efforts to provide sustainable advancements in education, deployment of ICTs have served little to improve a stagnated field. |
