Paper Abstract:
|
With the rapid development of the Internet, we are now able to obtain a much easier access to the newest event happening all around the world. However, due to the same reason, it is impossible for us to browse all the news available on-line, taking the vast amount of them into account. In this paper, we propose a tripartite model to detect the hottest topics in a given news set which consists of the time factor, the quality factor, and the quantity factor. With the help of this model, we can extract the hot topics that may caught most peoples attention and alleviate the burden of information overload. |
